Best hearing aids I've ever owned

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

The hearing test last over an hour, the best test I was ever given. Most time anyone had ever spent with me. My hearing is almost 100% lost in right ear, and very bad in left. Every other hearing aide I had tried were useless. I just bought the Micro RIC 312 and it is such a miracle to actually be able to hear again after years of struggling with other hearing aides. In addition, I bought the Surflink Remote Microphone, with this my wife can speak to me from other room into this microphone and I can here her, my daughter went outside and I could hear her thru my hearing aides that were synced with microphone.

I no longer have to use TV ears in order to listen to the TV while the captions are on. I can actually hear the TV on volume 9, with just my hearing aides.

I feel like I have been given my life back, no more embarrassment in not being able to understand what people were saying.

Starkey Hearing Aids

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Nothing but problems with these hearing aids. I bought Starkey brand but was given the Audible brand hearing aids.

The doctor saying that Audible were Starkeys premium brand. Paid $6,500.00 for the pair of hearing aids. They were sent back to the factory for repair 4 times. Nothing but problems from day one.

Buzz most of the time, they work when they want and the doctor fluffs me off when I complain.

Finally the doctor told me to see a ear specialist about my problems with the hearing aids. My heart doctor paid $1,200.00 for a pair of hearing aids and is very happy with his aids.

Hearing & Understanding Not the Same

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

These 73-year-old ears were not satisfied with my Starkey aids. Went to a different place and he fit me with Audibel.

Because of my trouble understanding words, he also gave me some exercises from Audibel that already are helping me better understand what people say. I am wearing $7,000 worth of hardware but it is well worth the cost. I have seen the resultant withdrawal from society by someone who could not hear.

(Price includes three-year warranty, plus batteries and "wax baskets" for the same period.) Reading the complaints, it appears that many do not receive the same quality service. Before my first appointment, I checked the BBB to assure an honest company that had been in business for some time.

Failed Hearing Aid

$3500 with only a 3 year warranty? The first ones out of the box didn't work so I should have left right then and there. The business kept telling me they were a good product with a 98% success rate. I guess I fell into the 2% category. For a retired person on a pension that is a lot of money. My insurance paid some but I had to sacrifice a lot to get mine. That comes out to $95 a month for a product that didn't help much at all and consistently had issues. Are they make in China? I bet the CEO doesn't wear them. He'd be a fool. I went in for a cleaning with a working hearing aid and left with my right one not working. They told me to have it repaired at a cost of $200 and I refuse to through good money after bad. What a lousy piece of workmanship! They were only worn 50% of the time and I live in Las Vegas where it's not humid at all. Never, ever, again will Audibel get any money from me. If there is a way to let people know just how bad their product is, please let me know.

You said you had a three year warranty. So having a 4000 dollar product and 3 years later you needed to pay 200 dollars to fix it.

Sounds like a great deal.

If you don’t want to pay then you should keep your electronics in warranty. That would be smart.

TOBIN HEARING CENTER, Las Vegas...8/12/16

0 rating...$7000. hearing aids 12//10/5.

Actually used maybe 6 hours TOTAL. Case cracks and breaks. Returned to factory 6 times and NOW broken again.

Very shoddy workmanship, cheap material. Owner, Tobin, WILL NOT HONOR REFUND !!!

Reported to NV Adult Protective Agency, BBB, Google Reviews and Yelp.

Think long and hard before buying from Tobin Hearing or Audibel.

Audibel Hearing Aid Review

I bought a pair of Audibel Silver series hearing aids in Feb. of 2013. I paid $6,000 for these hearing aids. I was completely ripped off. They stay broke all the time. When i thae them to be repaired i have to make an appointment that takes forever. It cost at least $300 every time i have them repaired. The "audiologist" that i take my hearing aids to is rude and disrespectful and doesnt adjust them right. She is no help at all. My overall experience with Audibel has been horrible i would never refer them to anyone. I feel as though i was robbed of $6,000

Audibel= A good place to get suckered out of almost 4k!!!!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I wanted my dad to be abLe to hear birds again, and have normal conversation. He got tested at an Audibel place in Georgia, some podunk town,maybe...Baxley? Or Douglass?

Well, the tech said that his hearing loss was severe but he could get most of it back with an AUDIBEL hearing aid.BUT!! It had to be the highest end on the price scale {of course}..So,I discussed it w.my husband and decided,'what the heck,if it improves the quality of my dads last years?

ok"..Well,it never work at all from day one..Took it back.I live 2k miles from that godforsaken place, mind you,so Everytime I visited my folks{every 3 months or so} off to the hearing aid place we would go.This went on for almost a year. They tweaked it{or so they claimed} and then they said,"well, his fingers are too big and clumsy(having done real work all his life and not sold bogus products to people}and he really needed a different type.Of course it would cost almost twice what Id paid for the one I had bought BUT!!!They would give us a 100$ credit for it if we returned it.Plus, any cleaning or tinkering would now have cost 60$ a pop, since the warrantee was used up..I told them to blow it out of their *** in 3 languages....NEVER ever by an AUDIBELL product again!!!You might as well put a cork in your ear. They make ***, but somehow, there is always another sucker.I was the sucker that day,but Ill do everything I can to make sure that no one else I know EVER buys one of their *** hearing aids ever again..My dad has been dead for a few years now,and I still get mad when I see that *** silver box that has that hearing aid in it.Next spring? Its going into a yard sale.Maybe some science geek kid will buy it and have fun taking it apart...*** AUDIBEL! Thanks for NOTHING!!!!!

Love my Audibel Hearing Aids

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I was fitted over 4 years ago, I was 39 years old and believe me it wasn't something that I was ready for, but it was getting harder and harder to hear my son which at the time was 9 yrs old. My loss was due to ototoxic medicine. I was fit in the Winter Haven office with a pair of CIC ( completely in canal), unfortunately those didn't work for me, I have a difficult hearing loss, but they worked with me until we were able to found something that worked better for me and my loss. The team and owner of the Audibel office that I went to were great, so great I quit my job, went into the training program and now I am a licensed hearing aid specialist helping others to hear better and have a better quality of life.

Unhappy with Audibel service , no one has contacted me regarding this

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I visited the Audibel office because they were offering a free screening. I was encouraged to try a set of hearing aids for one or two weeks.

During that trial period I lost one of the aids. We looked everywhere, but no luck. So I took the other one back. She was going to check to see if their insurance would cover it or if I had to pay for the loss.

In the mean time she fitted me with a new set to try. And I had mentioned many times that I was not interested in trying any more, I did not want them. When I took those back I told her that I still wasn't comfortable wearing them because of wearing glasses and I also was also wearing an oxygen tube that also goes behind my ears, she insisted on sending these aids in to make them smaller for my comfort. I told her again that I did not want them.

When they came in and she tried them in my ears I said again that I wasn't interested. When I brought them back I said that I did not want them and she said the company would use their insurance for coverage of the one that I lost if I bought these new ones. Once again I was not pleased. My husband tried calling a few times, he finally spoke to someone but he does not remember her name, and voiced our displeasure.

So I was corralled purchasing one of the aids. I did not take it home.

I will never ever do this again. I would love to get a response from someone please.

If you didn't want them, why did you keep going back?

i have been a hearing aid user for over 10 years. Love my aids .

every hearing aid company has a loss and damage on their hearing aids, but it is replace for the person that lost it.

my cousin that has a business told me that when a consumer losses a hearing aid , they are responsible for that hearing aid, because he has to buy his hearing aids from the factory not the consumer. So he is not able to return a lost hearing aid

Hi,

I am currently part of a team looking into an Audibel fraud committed in Syracuse, NY. I was hoping you could provide me with more insight as to what occurred at this location and if they you know if they ever billed your insurance company for the hearing aids or for a more expensive version of hearing aids. Any help you could provide would be great.

Best,

Megan

Active Growing Mold in offices

I was exposed to active growing mold in the Brooksville Audibel office. I became very sick and had to seek medical attention, I wrote a letter to Mr. Wheeler and have never received a reply, obviously he does not care about my health or any ones health who visits his Brooksville office. The office smelled dirty, and it was found around there refrigerator, carpet, base boards and being vented through there air conditioning unit. making it airborne for any one to inhale.

Repaired and noise

Just got my hearing aid repaired and returned. The cable from the hearing instrument and the local hearing instrument specialist could not repair it. He sent it off and it took almost two weeks to get it back. The instrument seems to be working properly, except in addition to hearing spoken words it makes a lot of feed back noise. The Doctor won't be in until Friday (4 days from now). I would like for someone other than the specialist to adjust it or send it back. He seems to be more interested in selling me a new aid. How can I find an office that handles Audibel?. Looking on the internet, I have not been successful in locating another office. OH! My instrument had three programs when it was sent for repair. Now there are only two.

Audibel - Hearing Aids Review from Jasmine Estates, Florida

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

My mother spent $6000 on hearing aids and has been back about 12 times complaining that she cannot hear. The tech at the Leesburg office does not listen and tells her that she is the problem.

The aids do not fit her ears and shift so she does not hear.

Billy is dismissive to her and seems to be avoiding finding the problem. For the money spent the product and service are far below any satisfactory standards.

That's a very different problem from mine but, i'm also very dissatisfied with audibel. My technician tried very hard to get mine to work but they kept shutting off while I was wearing them.

He sent one or the other back for nearly 2 yrs. With little progress. I finally gave up and bought another brand. What a waste of $5400.

And tons of my time. John
