After the second pair, I learned my lesson

Don't waste your time or money on Audibel hearing aids. Go directly to an Ear, Nose and Throat office that has an audiologist there.

You have to keep going back to have these things adjusted. After a couple of years with the first pair, they said they couldn't be adjusted any more for my hearing loss. So I bought another pair at a cost of $6000.00 with the Surf Link remote and Surf Link TV box. I had these for about 5 years and spent a great deal of time going back and forth to have them adjusted.

They still screeched with certain sounds. I went to three different Audibel offices, but they could never get them right.

The people adjusting your hearing aids are not audiologists. They are just technicians who have had some training.

Having trouble hearing with the hearing aids

I have been taking my mom to her appointments for the past 3 years every 3 months and I tell them every time she cant hear she has had them for almost 5 years and 3 of them cant hear our last appointment had a new person which this happens a lot she finally did something to test her hearing and said she has a lot more damage and would have to get new hearing aids which I think shouldn't be her fault to repay for them again which she paid 5000 for them the first time your staff should really check into things when someone complains over and over they can hear. I really think that audible should replace new hearing aids free of charge since this has been going on for 3 years they have her records showing nothing was ever done when we went there just a cleaning. the last person finally did her job and checked her hearing. please let us know if there is something you could do for us. my email is rmbarrette@***.com

Over priced hearing aids and warranty

When you pay 6000.00 for a set of hearing aids I don't think it is unreasonable to expect them to last for your lifetime. My husbands microphone in the left hearing aid broke and they want us to pay 619.00 to get it fixed because it is out of warranty.

Otherwise he can get another hearing test and get new hearing aids. My husband is 74 years old and we can't afford to pay 600.00 to fix ONE hearing aid nor can we afford to pay another 6000.00 for a new set. I would think the quality of something so expensive would be much better.

This is not the first time he has had an issue. The last time he had to send the back to the manufacturer to get them repaired!!!

Price

We bought the hearing aids; he gave me the final payment. when we'd had the hearing aids 31 days (passed return date) he sent us a invoice for another $1500.00. At this point we weren't that happy with the rechargeable batteries that wouldn't stay charged. It was a choice: have it go on our credit or give the *** another $1500. And he charged us $100 for each rechargeable battery. We found them for $35.00 EACH.

Horrible Aids

My poor daughter these aids go on and off on her all the time. This was the worst choice we ever made for her. She's only had them for 1 1/2 years and we are looking for others. I should of went by what the audiologist actually said!!!! They go on and off all the time. She's been having nothing but problems with her inner ears leaking lots of drainage over the last year. Her ENT said these types of aid will do that and of course we were NEVER warned about that either. Looking for another set for her now and it won't be AUDIBLE!!!

You are greeted with the American flag colors on the front of their office. The office is behind The Horse and Jockey on 66th St in Pasadena.

Right near Publix. Anyways when you go in Haley is behind the desk. She is a good listener. The office is very clean, a must for me.

I learned a lot while waiting for my appointment. Rhonda came out in just a few minutes and took us into the hearing aid room. Rhonda is very patient. We had a ton of questions.

Rhonda had an answer for every one and also offered much more important information , things we never thought about. We were in there quite awhile, but I never felt rushed. Rhonda showed us how the hearing aid works and how to clean it and change the batteries. She even cleaned my Moms ears.

Rhonda and Haley helped us work out the finances so we could afford them.

We are so happy. Thanks

Audibel off EBay

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I went to the Lakeland office and was impressed with the excellent hearing test. Then my audiologist put in sample aids and i could hear! Then, the price: $5200 for two. I went to EBay and bought a used pair of the same units for $350. With batteries, wax filters and eartips, i have about $400 invested. True, no warranty or adjustment but i hear very well and got top notch equipment. Perhaps its time for the FTC to examine the hearing aid industry?

That was my point. I got a deal because these were available pre-owned.

The markups on hearing aids and other medical devices are huge.

I bought a new CPAP for $400 programmed for my prescription online when my respiratory supplyou company wanted $1500 for the same unit I was renting for a year. That was quite a buyout.

Machele Imf

Why would you want the FTC to investigate something like this? You obviously bought a used unit that someone was selling because it was not needed for some reason.

You got lucky and it actually works for you. Now you realize the huge mark-up on hearing aids, which is the usual practice in this and many other industries.

Sort of like buying a new car for full price and then selling it used for much less. Time to think logically, not emotionally.

Terrible hearing aids.....

My husband bought a pair of hearing aids from Clearwater, Fl. He also spent the extra $200 for the charger. Also, besides not hearing, he is legally blind. He was taken advantage of. I was with him all visits to the site. The charger doesn't hold a charge and the hearing aids don't work correctly. They don't hold a charge. For the price he was charged, he could have bought 3 sets of hearing aids. The dealer got his money and now Wells Fargo is harassing us for money. I've asked them to send us an invoice, since we never received one. I gave them the address where we are now, however we haven't received any satisfaction. We are now up in New York for the summer. Can a dealer up here help us without paying further? Very disappointed customer. We will not pay for something, we are going to return.

$5000 for an old time useless pair for my poor mom

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
My mother went in around 6 years ago & the Dr. gave her an old pair that goes around your ears that wouldn’t stay over her ears. He gave her a pair that was already there that someone didn’t want. He knew they were old timey & didn’t fit & she could never hear out of them at all. She got tired of taking them back so much, so now they just sit up in her cabinet taking up space. I hate that my stepdad spend over $5,000 on them & he was on his death bed & went to the drive thru bank teller to get the money to pay them off. Those hearing aids were worthless & not even worth $5 definitely not $5,000. The Audibel on Cherrybark off Nicholasville & Southland Dr. in Lexington is a disgrace & fraud to the poor struggling elderly. He done my mom so very wrong. He knew what he did & I hope karma comes back on him. He wouldn’t like it if someone done his mother that way but he didn’t give a damn about my mom.. Georgia (Norma’s daughter)

Bluetooth sucks batteries and shuts off

I have in the ear bluetooth enabled hearing aids and there used to be a surflink battery that would mostly keep up with the power demands when I was using the hearing aids via bluetooth to my phone. Now I cannot find any that will work for more than a few seconds before it gives me a warning low battery and shortly there after kicks out.

Isn't there anybody that makes a battery for this hearing aid otherwise they are useless for the enable and added cost of blue tooth ability.

I hate the over the ear kind as they are always falling off and cumbersome. Is anyone else having this issue or is it just my devices?

Hearing aids are expensive but good

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I don't know what the issue with everyone is. This site was clearly made by a pissed customer.

Here is my experience with Audibel. I went to Audibel in July 2017. I have had tests throughout my whole life and knew that I had a hearing loss but I was reluctant to get hearing aids because I didn't want everyone to see them. I went in and had a test in the Brandon FL office and was very pleased.

Before I got hearing aids, I couldn't hear my grand kids, my own kids or my husband. I felt isolated at times and finally decided that something needed to be done. There are people complaining of not signing up for Wells Fargo, well let me tell you that if you filled out the information, you signed it so Audibel could run it. If you didn't read what you were signing that is your fault.

That card comes to you after you are approved, whether you used it or not. Its just saying that you are approved and can use the card IF you want to. I got the top of the line hearing aids that were $7000. They are rechargeable so I never have to use batteries!

It is so nice because I dont have to worry about the battery going dead when I am out somewhere. I opted out of using wells fargo time payments but the plans were very reasonable and cheap per month. They had a lot of different options as far as price, but I live a crazy life so I needed the more expensive ones and I have not been disappointed even a month later. With Audibel you get lifetime service which means if your hearing aid breaks you get to go back to the office for free and they will fix it.

That is so nice for someone with grandkids who can possibly get a hold of the aids if they are out of your ear for any amount of time. Sometimes $7000 is not feasible for some people but Audibel really gets that and tries to work with you. I loved the specialist that I worked with! He was very thorough and very sweet.

I will recommend Audibel to all of my friends and family. My husband seems to be getting there, so he may be getting a pair in the next year or two! Give them a shot before you write it off because someone made a website that has every person that doesn't like the company on it, probably including all of their kids and family writing bad reviews as well. There is a risk free 45 day trial so if you don't like it after 45 days you can return it and get your money back.

It really is risk free so why not try? Sincerely, a very happy customer not liking when people only write bad reviews on companies.
